Performance is not the amount of pips a system generates,
because the value of a pip is calculated by the lot size
one trades and as per risk management. Only the
declaration of monthly pips is not meaningful enough. One
can make 50 pips per month and has a much better account
performance than another trader making 500 pips in the
same time.
I think the monthly return on investment ROI is most
significant, that means the return in relation to the
account balance. This is what we want to know, this is
how one measures if an investment is profitable in
comparison to another one.
Further, the number of trades you need to take to reach a
specific return is important as well as the risk reward
ratio.
Keep an eye on my statistics to find out, if I am doing
this in a professional manner, or not.
I'll try my best.
